Leeds Festival Sells Out In Record Time
Carling Festival organisers are (understandably) overjoyed as it’s confirmed that the full three day weekend tickets for the Leeds leg of the festival have sold out in record time.
Organisers Mean Fiddler confirmed yesterday (July 26) that all the weekend tickets for both the Leeds and Reading legs of the Carling Weekend have now totally sold out. However, a small number of day tickets are still available.
"This is brilliant,” Mean Fiddler MD Melvin Benn explained. “Last year was the best we had ever had and managed to sell out on the weekend of the festival. To sell out of weekend tickets with more than a month to go really demonstrates that Leeds and its new home has arrived and that the bill is as awesome as I thought it was."
The Carling Weekend takes place over three days (August 27-29) at two sites in Reading and Leeds and will feature headline performances from the White Stripes, The Darkness and Green Day, while Super Furry Animals and Graham Coxon are among the headliners on the second stage.
