The Xfm Listener Vote - The Results

added 05 December 2006 at 16.22

We asked you - the always delightful Xfm audience - to vote for what you reckoned were the best and worst bits of 2006. And now we have the results...

Thousands of you voted for your best albums, singles, gigs and festivals of 2006. As well as letting us know who the most under and over rated bands were, who you thought was a cool as f**k, and who you just acted like a dick.

And now we have the results of the Top 3 most voted in each category, along with a useful added note about what we learnt about you from the voting. Enjoy.

  • Single Of The Year
    ‘Knights Of Cydonia’ Muse

    We Learnt...
There's one Xfm listener who thinks 'Beautiful' by James Blunt, like, totally rules.

  • Album Of The Year
    Muse ‘Black Holes & Revelations’
Arctic Monkeys ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not’
Red Hot Chili Peppers ‘Stadium Arcadium’

    We learnt...
A lot of Muse fans think being ‘underrated’ equates is a term applicable with a band who can sell 77,000 tickets for Wembley Stadium in about 14 minutes. How much more recognition do you need?
