X-clusive: Muse To Play Seaside Tour in 2007?

Speaking exclusively to Xfm, Muse’s Matt Bellamy has revealed his idea to follow their upcoming European arena dates with a tour of seaside resorts around the UK next year (and discussed his ability to sing like Gwen Stefani).
While Muse kick of their most ambitious tour ever on October 27 in Madrid (a jaunt that includes an incredible three nights at Wembley Arena), singer Matt Bellamy has spoken about his future live plans.
“Well, at the moment we’re doing a tour of Europe," he explained, "And the end of the year and playing a few Wembley’s or something, but we’re thinking of saving something a bit more interesting for next year, in terms of playing outdoors, or something.”
“We were talking of doing a tour of beaches, maybe, because we’re kind of from the seaside [the band originates from Teignmouth, Devon]. We like the idea of doing a tour of seaside resorts around the UK. But maybe we’ll save that for next summer, but towards the end of this year we’ll be doing an arena tour with a full spectacular production.”

Drummer Dom Howard also seemed vaguely keen on the idea of getting some promotional Muse rock made up for the seaside jaunt “particularly if we play Brighton or Hastings, or somewhere like that.”
“I think it’s a brilliant idea,” added Matt, “I just can’t believe we didn’t think of it. Candyfloss maybe? It’s all the rage.”
Matt was also pleased to hear that the Internet now houses a version of the Muse track ‘Invincible’ with his voice sped up so he sounds remarkably similar to Gwen Stefani [listen to it by clicking here]
“That’s pretty cool. We’ll look for that as soon as we get home. Any particular song? Has anyone tried slowing her down?
“Would I perform a ‘Stars In Your Eyes’ Gwen Stefani? I probably would actually if I wasn’t busy touring. I could put on a blonde wig and fishnets and do ‘Hollaback Girl.’”
