Björk Working On Two New Albums

The diminutive Icelandic star has confirmed that she will release two new studio albums worth of material in the near future. As well as the follow-up(s) to 2001's 'Vespertine' Bjork will also re-issue her discography in live form.
According to reports, Björk is currently in the process of completing her next studio album. Originally planned for a late-2004 release, it seems that the album, rumoured to be entitled 'The Lake Experience', may now not be released before the end of the year.
The new album is set to feature many virtually unpronounceable contributors. Currently set to feature are The Icelandic Choir, Mark Bell, Matmos, Dokaka, Valgeir, Tagaq, and finally, Jórunn Viðar.
However, Bjork will then release a second studio album. In the past she has followed an LP with a world tour, however, "Because I did two tours in a row - 'Vespertine' and 'Greatest Hits'" she explained to i-D, "I'm going to reward myself and do two albums in a row.
"I'm going to try it for the first time just to see, because I always do an album, finish it, mix it, then go on tour. And I'm always wondering, 'What if I had of stayed home one more month?' Because sometimes you do your best stuff after you have mixed."
Whilst neither record has a confirmed release date or title yet, Björk will be issuing individual releases for each of the four discs in her 2003 'Live Box'. The discs (entitled 'Debut Live', 'Post Live', 'Homogenic Live' and 'Vespertine Live') originally appeared as part of a live box set and contain material recorded on tour between 1993 and 2002.
