More Stars Line Up For New QOTSA Album

Following reports that Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top has been collaborating with Queens Of The Stone Age, comes the news that The Distillers’ Brody Dalle and Shirley Manson of Garbage have joined the party.
According to the QOTSA official website, Gibbons dropped by recording sessions with the band in Los Angeles “at the stroke of midnight and left at 5 in the am” with Queens leader Josh Homme proclaiming “Billy Gibbons is a badass”.
Now, Shirley Manson from Garbage has revealed that she and The Distillers’ Brody Dalle are also both featured on the new record.
“Brody and I sang backing vocals on a Queens of the Stone Age track a few weeks back and it was so much fun.” Manson explained, “That girl has a crazy voice. She can really sing and what's even cooler about her is that she has NO f**king IDEA just how good she is. That's what I love about our girl Brody. She's a glorious, no nonsense, f**ked up mess.
“As for the new Queens of the Stone Age record? It's great. Really REALLY great. You'll love it. And how Josh Homme is not yet a household name is quite beyond me.
The band have recently been conducting the recording for the follow up to 2002’s ‘Songs For The Deaf’ in secrecy in the Joshua Tree area of the Mojave Desert in California. Speaking about the sessions Homme explained,
“We’re not yelling from the highest cliff. We are secretly going into the studio. One day we were just gone. The only thing that matters is making music we love.”
