Right you lot, this is a big week for Xfm Breakfast, its your last chance to affect two major Xfm campaigns. Firstly the nominations for our first Hall of fame close at the end of the week and this Friday it’s semi finals of the Eurovision song contest. This is the point at which you the Xfm listener can ensure metal triumph’s in the form of Finland's entry to this years contest. Just in case you’ve not heard their entry here it is.
Lordi 'Hard Rock Hallelujah' [listen]
So far our campaign has enlisted the help of Xfm’s Rock Lord Ian Camfield, you the X listeners have been deluging the king of Eurovision and Breakfast radio Terry Wogan with e-mails to ensure he supports us. Our campaign has made the Finnish national press and radio, and on Thursday we talked to Lordi himself!
Now it’s time to get down to the business of ensuring the meat-faced ones make the Eurovision Final. On Saturday 20 May night Lordi will be performing along with a stack of other hopefuls in the Eurovision finals on BBC 1 (it'll also be streamed online at www.bbc.co.uk/eurovision).
After all entrants have performed, then you need to vote for Finland with 'Hard Rock Hallelujah' performed by Lordi. The number you need is 0901 121 3117 or just Text 17 to 61166
Lordi's time has come! Grrrrrrrrr (woof)
