The Zutons on Tired Of Hanging Around

added 19 April 2006 at 10.58

Singer Dave McCabe and drummer Sean Payne talked to John Kennedy about their excellent new album in this exclusive track by track interview. Listen to it right here.

In 2004 The Zutons became one of Britains most popular new bands following strong sales of their excellent debut ‘Who Killed The Zutons?’ and a much deserved Mercury prize nomination. Near constant touring saw them finally return to the studio late last year with uber producer Stephen Street (Blur, The Smiths, Kaiser Chiefs) who helped shape the far more soul influenced and lyrically darker follow up ‘Tired Of Hanging Around.’

Talking exclusively to John Kennedy they explained how they’ve matured as a band, getting straight back into the studio, touring America and the Beastie Boys. [listen]
