Barth

25-year-old French oddball Barth filled the set with lethargic vocals and troubled mumbles over balmy melodies creating a charismatic bewilderment.
Much like Neil Tennant, Barth (a.k.a Barthelemy Corbelet) studied at the Sorbonne. Based in Paris, Barth released his debut album called, obviously enough, ‘Essence of Giraffe’ in 2002 and hasn't gotten anymore straightforward. The Xfm studios were treated to new single ‘I Got You In My Dream’ [Dial-Up] [Broadband] the quite mind-bogglingly surreal ‘Peter Madox’ [Dial-Up] [Broadband] (who is Peter Madox and what does he want?) And the transcendent ‘Sea of Showers’ [Dial-Up] [Broadband].
