¡Forward, Russia! 'Xfm Session' [Dial-Up] [Broadband]
With a name like iForward, Russia! It’s fairly conceivable that this band do not follow conventional ways of doing things. Having formed in 2004 both of their limited edition EP’s sold out in the same week as going on sale.
Currently part of a flourishing music scene in the city of Leeds that has already produced the likes of the Kaiser Chiefs and The Cribs, even though they only name their songs with numbers, iForward, Russia! have the tunes to back up the considerable hype that is currently surrounding them.
Hard riffs and yelping vocals form the nucleus of the frantic ‘15’ [Dial-Up] [Broadband] before elements of hard electro creep into the mix on ‘13’ [Dial-Up] [Broadband] . The incredibly dancefloor friendly ‘10’ [Dial-Up] [Broadband] seems to cross many musical boundaries throughout its short duration before things are brought to a close with the imaginatively titled ‘9’ [Dial-Up] [Broadband] .
