Yeah Yeah Yeahs UK Tour Dates

Xfm Online can exclusively announce that acclaimed New York three piece Yeah Yeah Yeahs will be coming to the UK for a series of dates later this year.

Singer Karen O, guitarist Nicolas Zinner, and drummer Brian Chase will be coming to these shores for four dates in April taking in Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and ending up at The Forum in London.

These will be the band’s first dates in the UK since their appearances at the Carling Reading/Leeds festivals last August.

Elsewhere the band have been nominated for a prestigious Grammy award in the ‘Best Alternative Album’ category and according to a message on their official website they intend to accept it in the style of a late ‘70s prog AOR rock band, unless The White Stripes win it.

“YYY nominated for a F**KING GRAMMY for Best Alternative Album!” the message reads, “We’re totally gonna Jethro Tull/Steely Dan that s**t… or politely clap as Jack [White] accepts the award.”
