Ahead of the release of his forthcoming Greatest Hits, Ian Brown has announced his name will adorn the strips of the football club, Chiswick Homefields. “Chiswick Homefields, who are they?” “Exactly…”

Ian Brown has announced he’ll be sponsoring a London football team. Chiswick Homefields FC who play in Division One of the London Commercial Division will, for their 2005/2006 season, be sponsored by Brown and wear his name on their chests.

According to his official website, the team will be wearing a newly designed kit with ‘IB – The Greatest’ across the front to promote Brown’s forthcoming Greatest Hits compilation.

In other news, Ian Brown has been forced to delay the release of his hits package, following production. A statement reads, “Due to a manufacturing error, release of Ian Brown’s ‘The Greatest’ album has been put back one week to September 19.
