Recent line-up changes certainly seem to be having the desired effect - with new single 'Dakota' scoring their first ever number one and the recent 'Sex. Violence. Language. Other' album drawing praise from even their harshest critics, The Stereophonics are undergoing something of a commercial and critical rennaissance these days.

Whether it'll matter to the band or their considerable fanbase that they've finally recaptured the press' hearts is a debatable point (after 'Mr Writer' we suspect it won't) but one thing's for sure; Kelly Jones' power trio are on rare form right now. Live on Music:Response the band talked to Sarah Darling about their runaway comeback, touring with Bowie and the effects of their new line-up [listen].

Kelly diverts his wrath from music journalists to security staff in this dark, scathing attack on "a bouncer that was a bit of a bastard". 'All I wanna do/Is make a mess of you!' snarls Jones.
