Paul Weller Announces Forest Live 2019 Gigs

The Modfather is the first artist to be confirmed for the summer concert series promoted by the Forestry Commission.

Paul Weller is the first artist to be announced for Forest Live 2019.

The former Jam frontman, who this year released True Meanings - his fourteenth solo album - this year, will play series of gigs with special guests promoted by the Forestry Commission.

Weller's gigs, which will take place in forests and outdoor locations across Britain, will kick off on Friday 14 June in Westonbirt Arboretum, near Tetbury in Gloucestershire and will end on Saturday 6 July at Cannock Chase Forest, near Rugeley, Staffordshire.

The Wild Wood singer said of the news, "The Forest shows are always great gigs for us and it’s been a while since I last did them".

Tickets to see the Modfather will go on general sale on Friday 9 November from 9am at the Forestry Commission box office tel 03000 680400 or a www.forestryengland.uk/music.

Forest Live is a major outdoor live music series held every summer by Forestry Commission England in seven beautiful forests.

Over 1.75 million people have attended a forest gig in the last eighteen years. Money raised from ticket sales helps to look after the nation’s forests sustainably, for people to enjoy and wildlife to thrive.
